The Lead Structural Design Engineer is responsible for driving structural design delivery, ensuring technical quality, and leading engineering teams across multiple projects. This role directly contributes to infrastructure development, project success, and engineering innovation within large-scale transportation programs.Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural and bridge design delivery across multiple infrastructure projects
- Conduct technical reviews and ensure quality assurance prior to submission
- Deliver high-quality structural designs in line with engineering standards
- Identify value engineering opportunities and innovative design solutions
- Plan, allocate, and manage resources for efficient project execution
- Coordinate with project managers and discipline leads to manage schedules and workflows
- Liaise with clients and authorities to present designs and obtain approvals
- Provide clear technical direction and leadership to engineering teams
- Monitor team performance, staffing, and utilization and report to senior management
- Support recruitment and development of engineering team members
- Act as deputy to Technical Director when required
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 20 years of experience in structural design with strong focus on bridges
- Minimum 7 years of experience on RTA projects is mandatory
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and design delivery
- Strong technical expertise in structural design and infrastructure projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in UAE or GCC is an advantage
