Conduct high-level research in reinforcement learning, optimal control, and model predictive control.
Design and develop controllers for complex robotic systems including humanoids, quadrupeds, and omnidirectional drones.
Apply artificial intelligence and control methodologies to real-world robotics problems.
Develop, test, and validate control algorithms using robotic platforms and simulation environments.
Publish research outcomes in leading international conferences and journals such as CDC and ICRA.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams within NYU Abu Dhabi and the Center for AI and Robotics.
Support laboratory research activities and contribute to mentoring graduate-level researchers where required.Ideal Profile
PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
Strong background in control systems with hands-on experience in reinforcement learning and model predictive control.
Experience working with autonomous robotic systems.
Familiarity with Robot Operating System and physics-based simulation engines is preferred.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.Skills Set
