Senior GL and Financial Reporting Manager - Al-Futtaim Group - Dubai, UAE

• Lead monthly general ledger reconciliations and improve balance sheet schedules to enhance transparency and control
• Engage stakeholders across business units to ensure meaningful substantiation of GL accounts
• Identify trends, patterns, and control gaps while proposing corrective actions
• Standardize reconciliation formats and enforce structured quality review processes
• Oversee monthly and yearly book closures ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Review provisions, accruals, amortization entries, reclassifications, and cost allocations
• Ensure full compliance with IFRS and IAS standards as well as group accounting policies
• Submit accounting data through consolidation tools such as Business Planning and Consolidation systems
• Monitor intercompany balances and resolve mismatches through collaboration with finance teams
• Support external audit processes by providing required documentation and financial clarifications
• Drive improvements in reporting checklists and internal financial control frameworks

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification
• 5 to 8 years of experience in financial reporting or GL accounting with hands-on IFRS exposure
• Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and balance sheet integrity
• Experience using ERP systems and consolidation tools
• Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with Power BI or similar analytical tools
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
