This position plays a key role in safeguarding business operations by conducting detailed compliance investigations and ensuring alignment with international regulatory requirements. The role directly impacts risk mitigation, operational integrity, and regulatory compliance across multiple business units.Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate denied entities, sanctions matches, and compliance alerts generated through screening systems
  • Perform customer due diligence and KYC reviews across multiple operational workflows
  • Analyze complex transactions and accounts to determine compliance risks
  • Support audit responses and handle external regulatory inquiries
  • Provide guidance and feedback to investigators and operations teams
  • Identify gaps in compliance processes and recommend corrective actions
  • Assist in developing training opportunities for escalation handling and compliance workflows
  • Monitor and achieve defined KPIs and productivity targets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen compliance controls
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs and regulatory frameworks including AML and sanctions policies
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in compliance, finance, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in fraud, risk, or compliance investigations
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with high attention to accuracy
  • Experience working in AML, sanctions, or regulatory compliance environments
  • Ability to work independently and handle complex case investigations
  • Fluency in Japanese at business level preferred
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
