Job Code: 4451Job Title: Partnership & Development Unit HeadJob Location: Abu DhabiJob Responsibilities:The role of the Partnership & Development Unit Head is to responsible for developing and implementing a plan for corporate giving and engagement and build vital links with the regional and national business community.
  • Support in the development and manage the implementation of the partnership & development strategy in order to reach agreed revenue targets and will secure funds to support the company vision and mission.
  • Manage unit employees including recruitment & selection, identifying scope of work and accountability, setting goals, objectives and KPIs, performance management, mentoring coaching, and professional development
  • Develop the budget and business performance metrics & targets for the unit.
Ongoing
  • Work with the Section Head on the development of the partnership and fundraising strategy, as well as the annual plans and fundraising / sponsorship targets.
  • Develop and manage the implementation of sponsorships & fundraising campaigns and event sponsorship campaigns
  • Identify, establish, maintain and strengthen relations with the Board of Directors and other external stakeholders
  • Develop effective strategies for income generation within the existing partnership structure.
  • Develop and maintain key resources to support programme bids including standing documents, databases of activity costs and day rates, database of financial and other relevant policies.
  • Collaborate with directors across the company to identify potential fundraising and sponsorship opportunities to create partnership opportunities and proposals.
  • Working closely with marketing & communications colleagues to develop familiarity with the requirements of key funders, the language used, and funding specifications
  • to inform the preparation of excellent commercial and technical bids.
  • Keep up to date with charity, fundraising, sponsorship and tax legislation in the UAE to ensure compliance and to keep senior management & stakeholders informed of options and limitations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
  • At least 3 years proven track record of fundraising in a non-profit organisation or an international organisation
  • Proven ability to meet fundraising targets
  • Good knowledge of philanthropic sector - foundations, companies and high net worth individuals - in the UAE
  • Experience of dealing with high-level stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Experience of budget management.
  • Knowledge of the corporate sector and its intersection with history/cultural arts community.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English is essential.
  • Experience of using fundraising systems and databases.
  • Experience of direct sales.
  • Degree-level in a relevant subject, e.g. business administration, finance, museum studies or marketing.
