Job Description :POSITION OVERVIEW:
  • We are seeking a proactive and motivated Assistant Business Development Manager to support the sales and financing operations within a dynamic automotive retail environment. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in banking, particularly in lending or credit—and a proven track record working in car showrooms. This role involves close coordination with financial institutions to drive vehicle finance approvals and enhance overall showroom performance.
KEY RESULTS/ACCOUNTABILITIES EXPECTED FROM THE ROLE:
  • Assist in developing and implementing business development strategies to increase showroom sales and finance penetration.
  • Act as a liaison between the showroom and financial institutions to process and expedite car loan applications.
  • Motivate and support customers in submitting vehicle finance applications through appropriate banks.
  • Maintain strong relationships with banking representatives to streamline credit approvals and resolve issues.
  • Leverage prior banking and credit experience to assess and guide customers through financing options.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to convert leads into sales through tailored financing solutions.
  • Track and report loan application statuses, approval rates, and customer financing trends.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external policies related to automotive lending.
  • Provide regular feedback to senior management on market trends and opportunities for business growth.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a banking environment, particularly in lending or credit.
  • Prior experience working in a car showroom is required.
  • Familiarity with auto-financing products, bank loan processes, and customer credit evaluation.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
