- Lead and oversee the engineering, design, and technical execution of Fives Conveying projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with Fives standards, safety, and performance requirements.
- Develop and review engineering designs, layout drawings, 3D models, and detailed fabrication drawings for P&F conveyor systems, trolleys, tracks, and structural supports using CAD and FEA tools (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, ANSYS)
- Coordinate closely with Fives Conveying headquarters for design reviews, technical clarifications, and compliance with proprietary technologies and specifications.
- Support operation/project team, site installation and commissioning by providing technical guidance, reviewing site layouts, and resolving engineering issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with FSG's diversification and commercial teams to provide technical input for tenders, cost estimation, and technical proposals for conveying projects.
- Ensure all engineering documentation (designs, BOMs, test reports, manuals) are prepared, reviewed, and archived according to Fives/FSG standards and ISO procedures.
- Develop & submit for approval to FC technical specifications for local procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted works related to conveyor systems.
- Monitor project progress against design deliverables, flag deviations, and propose corrective actions to maintain quality and timelines.
- Contribute to local engineering capability development by mentoring junior engineers and introducing best practices in mechanical design and conveyor technology.
- Support after-sales activities including troubleshooting, modification, and performance upgrades for existing Fives Conveying installations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant (internal and external) regulations including HSEQ requirements using Company policies and procedures as appropriate
- To be able to understand the requirements and make decisions on some of the manufacturing deviations to accept or reject.
- Prepare the calculation reports by using FEA Software and to get validated by the BO (Fives Conveying)
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or Mechatronics Engineering or a relevant field
- Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant engineering experience
- Proven experience in design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical conveying systems.
- Proficient use of Solid Works and CAD software.
- Proficient user of MS Office
