The Consultant Pediatric Interventional Cardiologist is responsible for providing specialized interventional cardiac care to pediatric patients, ensuring precise diagnosis, advanced procedural treatment, and long-term management of congenital and acquired heart diseases.Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced pediatric cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures including ASD, VSD, and PDA closures
- Conduct balloon valvuloplasty, angioplasty, stenting, and complex congenital interventions
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiac care for pediatric patients
- Interpret echocardiography, ECG, Holter monitoring, and advanced cardiac imaging
- Participate in multidisciplinary cardiac case discussions and surgical planning
- Provide on-call support for pediatric cardiac emergencies
- Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, intensivists, and neonatology teams
- Contribute to clinical governance, protocol development, and quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor junior doctors, fellows, and clinical staff
- Engage in research, teaching, and academic activities
- Medical degree with specialization in Pediatric Cardiology
- Board certification in Pediatric Cardiology from a recognized authority
- Fellowship training in Interventional Pediatric Cardiology
- Minimum 5-10 years of post-fellowship experience in high-volume cardiac centers
- Strong expertise in interventional procedures and complex case management
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Eligibility for SCFHS or equivalent licensing authority
- Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage
