Material Engineer - Parsons Corporation - Dubai, UAE

• Review contractor material submittals and secure approvals in line with applicable standards and project specifications
• Act as focal point for scheduling and control of construction materials and equipment at site
• Inspect works to verify compliance with contract specifications and approved methods
• Coordinate with subconsultants and laboratories for material testing activities
• Maintain project files related to material inspections and prepare daily diaries
• Prepare daily reports and required documentation in accordance with contract requirements
• Ensure that only approved materials are incorporated into the works
• Identify material-related issues, conflicts, or non-conformances and report with proposed corrective solutions
• Collect, review, and maintain certificates of compliance, MSDS, inspection tags, and related documentation
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff when required
• Participate in job safety practices and preparation of safety-related reports
• Contribute to development and implementation of quality control reports and procedures
• Perform calculations to prepare engineering data, charts, and graphs as required
• Verify that delivered materials match approvals and are correctly stored on site

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or construction-related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
• Minimum 7 years of experience in QA or QC roles on infrastructure, roads, landscaping, or related projects
• Experience on large-scale infrastructure and road projects within the UAE is preferred
• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and technical specifications
• Registration as a practicing engineer in Abu Dhabi or possession of Ministry of Education equivalency certificate
