This position ensures that all construction materials meet required standards, improve durability, and support efficient project delivery.What You'll Do
  • Review project requirements and determine material specifications for infrastructure works
  • Recommend appropriate materials based on performance, environmental conditions, and cost
  • Ensure all materials comply with ASTM, BS, ISO, and project standards
  • Develop and implement quality assurance procedures for construction materials
  • Conduct inspections and testing of concrete, asphalt, steel, soil, and aggregates
  • Approve or reject materials based on test results and compliance criteria
  • Monitor material quality during procurement, delivery, and installation
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to evaluate suppliers and vendors
  • Conduct supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Identify opportunities to optimize material usage and reduce waste
  • Maintain records of approvals, test results, and compliance documentation
  • Prepare reports on material performance and project compliance
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve material-related challenges
  • Investigate defects and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Support research into sustainable and innovative construction materials
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in infrastructure and construction projects
  • At least 5 years of supervision experience within UAE construction projects
  • Strong understanding of material properties, testing methods, and standards
  • Ability to analyze results and resolve material issues effectively
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and testing tools
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
