Senior Formwork Design Engineer - Construction Engineering Projects - Dubai, UAE

• Develop safe and economical formwork, shoring, and scaffolding design solutions for construction and infrastructure projects
• Produce and oversee general arrangement drawings, assembly drawings, steel fabrication drawings, and engineering models
• Prepare and verify engineering calculations using internal design tools and structural analysis software
• Ensure all design outputs comply with relevant engineering standards, codes of practice, and project specifications
• Apply advanced knowledge of proprietary formwork systems such as PERI, Doka, or equivalent systems
• Prepare and verify material take-offs and material lists for formwork and temporary works systems
• Maintain engineering documentation, drawing registers, and design records according to company procedures
• Attend technical coordination meetings with project teams, consultants, and construction teams
• Provide technical support and engineering solutions to site teams to resolve construction challenges
• Coordinate with suppliers and fabricators to optimize system selection and design efficiency
• Conduct site visits to review installation methods and provide technical guidance
• Supervise and review the work of junior engineers, designers, and draftspersons
• Provide technical mentoring, training, and professional guidance to junior staff and interns
• Review and approve drawings and calculations prepared by junior team members

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience in formwork or temporary works design, with scaffolding design experience considered an advantage
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD for 2D and 3D design preparation
• Experience using structural analysis software for temporary works design calculations
• Strong understanding of British Standards, engineering codes of practice, and formwork design regulations
