Formwork Design Engineer - Construction Engineering Projects - Dubai, UAE

• Prepare formwork and shoring design solutions for building and infrastructure construction projects
• Develop general arrangement drawings, assembly drawings, and basic steel fabrication drawings
• Produce 2D drawings and 3D models for temporary works and formwork systems
• Perform engineering design calculations using standard design tables, engineering spreadsheets, and structural analysis software
• Apply knowledge of proprietary formwork systems such as PERI, Doka, or similar engineering solutions
• Prepare accurate material take-offs, material lists, and engineering documentation
• Maintain drawing registers and engineering design records according to project documentation standards
• Coordinate with senior engineers, design teams, and project stakeholders to deliver design outputs on schedule
• Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical support to site teams when required
• Liaise with suppliers and fabricators to obtain technical information and system specifications
• Ensure all design work complies with British Standards, European Standards, and relevant codes of practice
• Follow company quality management procedures and document control requirements
• Apply safe design principles when producing engineering solutions
• Respond to design review comments and implement required revisions
• Conduct occasional site visits to understand construction processes and formwork installation requirements

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent qualification
• 2 to 6 years of experience in formwork design or temporary works engineering
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD for 2D drawing preparation with basic understanding of 3D modeling tools
• Basic understanding of temporary works design principles and relevant engineering standards
• Experience working with proprietary formwork systems such as PERI or Doka considered an advantage
• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings
• Strong attention to detail and engineering accuracy
