Our success is outgrowing our capacity, and now is the time where we grow our team.Job Overview:We are looking to hire a Finance resource based in our Dubai office to support the Finance team across accounting, controls, and operational excellence.
The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all financial reporting standards. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Finance Director and work closely with other departments to support the company’s financial goals.Key Responsibilities
  • Accounting ownership & transition
  • Take over the accounting system for capturing transactions and reporting.
  • Review, correct and stabilize accounting gaps with a particular focus on inter-company balances impacting group entities.
  • Support a structured handover and eventual phase-out of outsourced accounting support.
  • Audit, review & reconciliations
  • Perform in-depth reviews of existing accounting records to identify logic gaps, inconsistencies and reconciliation issues.
  • Lead backlog reconciliations with payment gateways and sellers to ensure accuracy of funds receive/paid, fees recorded and P&L integrity.
  • Process review & documentation
  • Document current finance processes (“as-is”), identify control gaps and propose improvements in preparation for automation and scale.
  • Operational Finance Support
  • Provide day-to-day operational finance support for the UAE entity in coordination with internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/CPA/CMA)
  • At least 5 years of Accounting/Finance experience
  • Background in a reputable audit firm (good to have)
  • Strong technical accounting and reconciliation skills
  • Advance Excel and BI tool skills
