In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing utilities and road construction projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.
  • Manage and coordinate utilities and road construction projects from inception to completion
  • Develop and review project plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and local regulations
  • Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues
  • Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports
  • Implement quality control measures and safety protocols on construction sites
  • Coordinate with local authorities for necessary permits and approvals
  • Analyze and interpret technical data to make informed decisions
  • Optimize project efficiency through effective resource allocation and scheduling
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in utilities and road construction
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in utilities and road construction projects
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS software
  • Strong project management skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • In-depth knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE
  • Comprehensive understanding of utility systems (water, sewer, electrical, gas)
  • Familiarity with road construction techniques and materials
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Detail-oriented approach with a focus on efficiency and organization
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to work on-site and travel as needed within the Dubai area
