Penspen is hiring a dynamic Senior Engineer – Operations Readiness & Assurance - Electrical to join our team in Abu Dhabi for a PMC project. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering world-class oil & gas projects, provide electrical engineering expertise to support activities, ensuring oil & gas facilities are delivered safely, reliably, and fully prepared for start-up and operationsKey Responsibilities:
  • Lead OR&A activities for electrical systems ensuring readiness for commissioning, start-up, and handover.
  • Review and assure electrical engineering deliverables (SLDs, load lists, specifications, protection schemes).
  • Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up of electrical systems including substations, switchgear, transformers, and UPS.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, IEC, and other international codes.
  • Participate in HAZOP, FAT/SAT, and readiness reviews, ensuring gap closure.
  • Support asset integrity, reliability, and maintenance strategies for electrical equipment.
  • Ensure completeness of handover documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer to operations teams.
Qualification Required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is Mandatory.
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry in the similar role.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in large-scale EPC projects within the Middle East, preferably ADNOC Group.
  • Proven experience in Operations Readiness, Commissioning, or Start-Up roles.
  • Strong knowledge of power systems, HV/LV equipment, and protection systems.
  • Experience with major capital projects in the middle east (EPC environment preferred).
  • Familiarity with ADNOC Engineering Standards and international codes (API, ASME, ISO).
  • Experience in asset integrity, reliability, and maintenance strategies.
