The Petroleum Development Engineer is responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary efforts to optimize well performance and support field development strategies. This role directly contributes to maximizing hydrocarbon recovery, improving production efficiency, and ensuring alignment with reservoir and operational objectives.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop well completion concepts aligned with production and injection strategies
  • Plan and support pilot hole data acquisition and evaluation activities
  • Design artificial lift systems and evaluate well testing strategies
  • Monitor well performance daily and identify optimization opportunities
  • Conduct nodal analysis to improve production system efficiency
  • Support reservoir teams in pressure transient analysis and production studies
  • Monitor drilling operations and provide technical support to ensure smooth execution
  • Maintain comprehensive well databases including operational data and performance metrics
  • Recommend and plan special testing programs and field implementation strategies
  • Evaluate options for upgrading facilities and improving production capacity
  • Investigate production-related issues and recommend technical solutions
  • Assess new technologies and conduct feasibility studies for implementation
  • Prepare monthly production and injection forecasts based on operational data
  • Prioritize well operations based on reservoir constraints and production targets
  • Monitor gas and water injection to ensure compliance with specifications
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in petroleum development, drilling, or production engineering
  • Strong knowledge of well completion, artificial lift systems, and production optimization
  • Experience in nodal analysis, well testing, and reservoir performance evaluation
  • Familiarity with drilling operations and field development planning
  • Ability to analyze technical data and implement performance improvements
  • Strong coordination and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
