This position is part of the Global Corporate Finance division at First Abu Dhabi Bank, responsible for leading equity capital markets activities across UAE and key regional markets. The Director drives execution excellence, builds investor relationships, and enhances the bank's ECM capabilities while contributing to strategic growth and league table positioning.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead origination and execution of ECM transactions including IPOs, rights issues, block trades, and follow-on offerings
  • Collaborate with client coverage teams to identify and execute ECM opportunities across UAE and regional markets
  • Work with regional teams to expand ECM activities in Saudi Arabia and Egypt
  • Manage syndicate processes including bookbuilding, pricing, and settlement activities
  • Develop investor engagement strategies and expand relationships across GCC and global markets
  • Prepare and review pitch books, investor presentations, and marketing materials
  • Enhance ECM processes, systems, and transaction execution frameworks
  • Drive revenue growth and contribute to achieving league table targets
  • Coordinate with internal teams to maximize transaction value and client outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and governance standards
  • Mentor junior team members and support capability development within the ECM team
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in investment banking with strong specialization in ECM
  • Proven track record in leading ECM transactions within MENA markets
  • Strong expertise in financial statement analysis and company valuation techniques
  • Experience in global financial markets is highly preferred
  • Ability to manage complex transactions and high-pressure environments
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
