The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for leading commercial and contractual functions, ensuring project costs are controlled and risks are managed effectively. This role contributes directly to project profitability, contract compliance, and successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure works.Key Responsibilities
- Manage contractual and commercial correspondence across project stakeholders
- Oversee cost reporting, variations, claims, and financial tracking systems
- Maintain logs for payments, variations, and claims to ensure accurate records
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and supervision teams on contractual matters
- Review bills of quantities, financial reports, and measurement submissions
- Evaluate and process interim and final payment certificates
- Prepare and review tender documents and commercial reports
- Manage variation orders, change orders, and new rate submissions
- Support cost planning and cost control functions across the project
- Assist in claims evaluation and dispute resolution processes
- Draft and review contractual letters and documentation
- Guide junior quantity surveyors on measurement and contract procedures
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field
- Minimum 15 years of experience in contract administration for infrastructure projects
- Professional membership such as MRICS is required
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC, CESMM, and contract standards
- Experience in roads and large infrastructure projects
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
