- Lead the calculation and monitoring of Work-in-Progress (WIP) for all active construction projects to ensure accurate financial representation.
- Implement and enforce revenue recognition policies in compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 15 or ASC 606).
- Oversee the preparation and issuance of progress billing statements to clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage retention tracking, including calculations, documentation, and release timelines in coordination with project teams.
- Ensure full compliance with VAT regulations and oversee timely filing of tax returns and related submissions.
- Develop and maintain robust cash flow forecasts to support project planning, budgeting, and executive decision-making.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports for senior management, project teams, and stakeholders, highlighting performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, procurement, and internal audit to resolve financial discrepancies and strengthen internal controls.
- Support financial audits and regulatory reviews with complete, accurate documentation and analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in construction or engineering project finance, with a strong track record in project accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of WIP valuation, revenue recognition principles, and progress billing processes.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and cash flow forecasting.
- Solid understanding of VAT regulations and compliance within the construction sector.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
