- Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs.
- Provide clear explanations of recommended repairs and maintenance.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding service timelines, costs, and warranties.
- Assist in scheduling service appointments and managing the service calendar.
- Prepare work orders and ensure accurate documentation of customer requests.
- Relay information between customers, technicians, and parts departments.
- Help generate cost estimates for repairs and maintenance services.
- Review invoices with customers and process payments.
- Follow up on pending approvals (e.g., warranty claims, insurance).
- Contact customers post-service for feedback and satisfaction surveys.
- Assist in promoting service specials and maintenance reminders.
- Maintain service records and update customer databases.
- Track vehicle status and notify customers of completion/delays.
- Assist with inventory management of service supplies.
- Education: High school diploma (required); automotive certification or associate degree (preferred).
- Experience: 1+ years in automotive service, customer service, or a related role.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of vehicle systems and repair terminology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Problem-solving and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with service software (e.g., CDK, Reynolds) and MS Office.
- Other: Valid driver's license; ability to work weekends if needed.
