- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in your Science specialism (Physics) that inspire and engage students across varying ability levels.
- Foster curiosity and scientific literacy through experimental, inquiry-based learning.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress, using data to inform teaching and differentiation.
- Maintain an inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners and promotes academic excellence.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Science Department to develop innovative schemes of work and share best practice.
- Communicate effectively with parents to provide regular updates on student progress and achievement.
- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development opportunities, and co-curricular activities.
- Uphold GEMS Education’s Core Values and the ethos of Al Barsha National School at all times.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through events, competitions, and science enrichment opportunities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science or a related field, with specialism in Physics, plus a recognised teaching qualification/licence (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Strong subject knowledge within your area of specialism.
- Proficiency with ICT and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
- A creative and skilled classroom practitioner with a passion for Science and high expectations for student achievement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A reflective, flexible educator who thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and contribution to school improvement.
- Minimum of two years’ teaching experience, ideally within the National Curriculum for England.
- Experience teaching in an international or culturally diverse setting is advantageous.
