This role focuses on providing specialized ophthalmic care for pediatric patients, combining clinical expertise, surgical precision, and collaborative care to diagnose and treat a wide range of childhood eye conditions while supporting long-term vision health.Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat pediatric eye conditions including strabismus, amblyopia, congenital cataracts, and retinopathy of prematurity
- Perform pediatric ophthalmic surgeries and advanced diagnostic procedures
- Conduct detailed eye examinations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with pediatricians, neurologists, and other specialists for complex case management
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as required
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, residents, and fellows
- Participate in research, clinical audits, and academic activities
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and clinical standards
- Medical degree with completed residency in Ophthalmology
- Fellowship or subspecialty certification in Pediatric Ophthalmology
- Board-certified from a recognized authority
- Minimum 3-5 years of post-fellowship experience in pediatric ophthalmology
- Eligibility for consultant-level licensing in Dubai
- Strong clinical and surgical expertise in pediatric eye care
- Excellent communication skills with children and families
- Experience in teaching, research, or clinical development initiatives
