The role collaborates closely with finance teams and business units to ensure strong financial controls, compliance with international accounting standards, and reliable financial reporting.Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive monthly general ledger reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of balance sheet accounts
  • Engage with finance teams and stakeholders to obtain supporting information for meaningful account substantiation
  • Analyze reconciliation schedules to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to strengthen financial controls
  • Standardize reconciliation templates and implement quality review procedures across finance teams
  • Lead discussions with business unit finance teams to address reconciliation findings and resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure all accounting processes comply with IFRS, IAS, and Al Futtaim Group financial policies
  • Support monthly and annual closing activities including accruals, provisions, and expense amortization
  • Validate accounting entries and identify transactions requiring reclassification or cost allocation adjustments
  • Prepare financial reports and support timely completion of management and statutory financial statements
  • Maintain financial checklists and ensure compliance with internal financial governance procedures
  • Submit financial data required for group consolidation through Business Planning and Consolidation systems
  • Monitor intercompany balances, investigate mismatches, and coordinate resolution with finance teams
  • Work with external auditors to provide documentation and support statutory and internal audit requirements
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • Professional qualification such as CMA or equivalent accounting certification
  • Eight to ten years of experience in accounting or financial reporting roles
  • Strong practical experience with IFRS and IAS accounting standards
  • Experience working with ERP systems and financial consolidation tools
  • Strong analytical skills using Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Experience preparing financial statements and performing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross functional teams
  • Audit experience with exposure to internal or external audit processes
  • High attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy and compliance
