Senior General Ledger and Balance Sheet Accounting Manager - Al Futtaim Financial Reporting and IFRS Compliance - Dubai, UAE

• Review and improve monthly general ledger reconciliation schedules to ensure balance sheet accuracy
• Engage with finance teams and stakeholders to gather information required for meaningful account reconciliation
• Identify financial trends, control weaknesses, and opportunities to strengthen accounting processes
• Standardize reconciliation schedules and implement quality review procedures
• Lead discussions with business unit finance teams regarding reconciliation findings and corrective actions
• Ensure accounting processes comply with IFRS, IAS, and Al Futtaim Group financial policies
• Support month end and year end closing processes including accruals, provisions, and expense amortization
• Validate accounting entries and identify transactions requiring reclassification or cost allocation adjustments
• Prepare financial reports and support timely delivery of monthly and annual financial statements
• Maintain accounting checklists and ensure compliance with financial reporting procedures
• Submit financial data to support group consolidation processes using financial reporting systems
• Monitor intercompany balances, identify mismatches, and work with finance teams to resolve discrepancies
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide required documentation for audit processes

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Professional qualification such as CMA or equivalent accounting certification
• Eight to ten years of experience in accounting or financial reporting roles
• Strong practical experience with IFRS and IAS accounting standards
• Experience working with ERP systems and financial consolidation tools
• Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel and financial analysis tools such as Power BI
• Experience preparing financial statements and managing balance sheet reconciliations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders across departments
• Audit experience and ability to support internal and external audit processes
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on financial accuracy and compliance
