The Electromechanical Inspector - Dubai, UAE will support Parsons Corporation's construction supervision team by overseeing all MEP works on a major rail and metro construction project. The role focuses on depots, Main Power Substations (MPS), Traction Power Substations (TPS), and related facilities. - Oversee inspection, surveying, and testing requests for all MEP works across rail facilities and substations
- Validate contractor's underground piping systems, ensuring compliance with tightness, bedding, and grade requirements
- Review and approve piping system P&ID checks, hydraulic tests, and pressure tests
- Inspect electrical installations for grounding, circuit integrity, and compliance with safety codes and project standards
- Coordinate and monitor inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP works to secure final NOC approvals
- Review and approve MEP shop drawings as delegated by the Resident Engineer
- Monitor construction of facility foundations to ensure proper installation and bearing capacity
- Conduct inspections of painting and insulation for continuity and compliance
- Supervise contractor and subcontractor tasks, ensuring quality workmanship and safety compliance
- Verify equipment alignment, balancing, and installation of systems within facilities
- Contribute to preparation of quality control reports, safety audits, and technical documentation
- Witness welder qualification and other technical certification tests as needed
- Identify and report non-conformances, delays, and deviations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering
- Minimum 7 years (Diploma) or 5 years (Degree) of experience supervising MEP works on facility or infrastructure projects
- Prior rail or metro construction project experience is mandatory
- Certification in welding, concrete, electrical, or related inspections is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction methods, and materials
- Ability to interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and technical specifications
- Proven track record in supervising contractors and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
- Familiarity with large-scale infrastructure safety regulations and quality control processes
