Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Associate Civil Engineer (UAE National) to join our Rail PMC team here on a large infrastructure project in Dubai, UAE. In this role, you will assist the Civil/Infrastructure team in design reviews and coordination for structures, roads, utilities, and architectural interfaces, as well as support the supervision of construction works on siteWhat You'll Be Doing:
  • Assisting the civil/structures, roads and utilities, and architecture teams with design review activities.
  • Supporting the review of civil and infrastructure design drawings, reports, calculations, and specifications.
  • Assisting in checking the design for compliance with project requirements, local authority standards, and international codes.
  • Coordinating with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, architecture, structural, and CAD/BIM teams) to resolve design clashes and ensure integrated solutions.
  • Assisting with preparation and review of civil engineering documents, including design review comments, minutes of meetings, and technical correspondence.
  • Supporting site supervision teams in monitoring civil construction activities to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Assisting with site inspections, recording observations, and reporting non-conformances under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assisting in reviewing contractor method statements, material submittals, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
  • Supporting quantity take-offs, basic cost estimates, and progress measurement as required.
  • Assisting in preparing and updating registers (submittals, drawings, RFIs, etc.) related to civil/structural, roads, and utilities works.
  • Participating in internal and external coordination meetings and documenting key actions and decisions.
  • Performing other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate and assigned by senior engineers or the Resident Engineer/PM
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience; fresh UAE National graduates are also welcome to apply.
  • Basic knowledge of civil engineering principles related to structures, highways/roads, and utilities (wet and dry services).
  • Familiarity with civil/structural and infrastructure design standards and codes is an advantage.
  • Basic experience or academic exposure to design software and tools commonly used in civil engineering (e.g. AutoCAD; knowledge of Civil 3D, Revit, or similar tools is a plus).
  • Good understanding of engineering drawings and ability to interpret design details.
  • Fluent in English with strong interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team, under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, willingness to learn, and a proactive attitude.
  • Must be UAE National
