- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and review medical histories to diagnose conditions in neonates
- Interpret diagnostic tests including bloodwork, imaging, and ultrasounds to formulate precise treatment plans
- Oversee NICU patient care, including prescribing medications, conducting medical procedures, and managing ventilation and nutritional support
- Counsel and educate parents and caregivers about neonatal health, breastfeeding, safety, and recovery processes
- Work collaboratively with NICU nurses, pediatricians, respiratory therapists, and other specialists to deliver integrated care
- Participate in neonatal resuscitation and emergency response protocols when necessary
- Maintain detailed and compliant electronic medical records for all neonatal cases
- Stay current with advancements in neonatology and contribute to medical education within the unit
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Pediatrics and Neonatology
- Completion of accredited Pediatric Residency and Neonatology Fellowship
- Board certification in Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine
- Licensed or eligible to practice in the UAE (DHA/DOH/MOH)
- Minimum 3 years of post-fellowship experience in NICU or equivalent
- Proficiency in managing ventilated and critical care newborns
- Empathetic communicator with strong decision-making and diagnostic skills
