The Postdoctoral Associate will be appointed for a two-year term and will work under the supervision of Associate Professor Diogo Arsénio. The position focuses on advanced research in mathematical analysis and partial differential equations, contributing to the theoretical understanding of complex physical and mathematical systems.Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent and collaborative research in mathematical analysis and PDEs
  • Develop theoretical results related to magnetohydrodynamics and plasma theory
  • Work on collisional kinetic models and their hydrodynamic limits
  • Study dispersive phenomena in kinetic theory
  • Contribute to research on quantum gases and related mathematical frameworks
  • Publish research findings in leading peer-reviewed journals
  • Participate in seminars, workshops, and collaborative research activities at NYU Abu Dhabi
Candidate Requirements
  • PhD in Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field
  • Strong background in the analysis of partial differential equations
  • Research experience in one or more of the following areas: theoretical physics, fluid mechanics, kinetic theory, dispersive equations, or harmonic analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality independent research
  • Strong analytical and academic writing skills
