JOB PURPOSE:Responsible for inspection, maintenance, and preparation of drill bits to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety standards.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Job Specific Accountabilities Inspection & Maintenance:
  • Conduct detailed inspection of drill bits upon receipt and after use.
  • Clean, repair, and maintain drill bits according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
 Preparation & Assembly:
  • Prepare drill bits for upcoming jobs, ensuring correct configuration and readiness.
  • Assist in assembling bit components and applying protective coatings as required.
 Quality Control:
  • Record inspection results and maintenance activities.
  • Document inspection results and maintenance activities in the tracking system.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC Drilling quality assurance procedures.
 Inventory & Tracking:
  • Maintain accurate records of drill bit inventory, usage, and condition.
  • Utilize SAP for issuing and goods receipt (GR) of drill bits.
  • Support logistics for timely delivery and return of drill bits.
 Safety & Compliance:
  • Follow all HSE guidelines during handling, cleaning, and maintenance.
  • Report any non-conformance or damage immediately.

  • Implement and comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures, to accomplish operational objectives.
Training
  • Provide on-the-job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.
Tool Box
  • Maintain all tools, safety gear and equipment provided by company safely and in working condition.
  • Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.
Time Management
  • Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.
  • Inform the Maintenance Supervisor in case additional resources are required to carry out the job within the assigned time frame.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
  • Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.
Housekeeping
  • Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.
Reports
  • Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
  • Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and initiate Near Miss reports.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Education:
  • Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience:
  • Minimum 4–5 years in oilfield services or drilling equipment maintenance.
  • Experience drill bit types (PDC, roller cone, hybrid) and their applications.
  • Experience in drill bits repair facility.
