- Inspect site conditions before construction to confirm alignment with approved design and permanent works
- Document existing utilities and structures to prevent damage during construction activities
- Review materials delivered to site and verify compliance with approved samples and specifications
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of construction materials
- Inspect temporary and permanent works for compliance with contract documents and shop drawings
- Maintain daily inspection logs, testing reports, and site documentation
- Monitor safety practices and report unsafe conditions to the Resident Engineer
- Issue and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports and Site Observation Reports
- Assist with punch lists, testing, commissioning, and handover procedures
- Review contractor RFIs and material substitution requests, providing technical recommendations
- Coordinate with third-party laboratories for required testing in line with project specifications
- Liaise with authorities such as Dubai Municipality, RTA, and DEWA for approvals and compliance verification
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related technical discipline
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience as a Materials Inspector
- At least 5 years of UAE experience in roads, bridges, or underground utility projects
- Strong expertise in jacking pipes including RCC, GRP, and steel systems
- Knowledge of lubrication systems, grouting materials, and manufacturer compliance documentation
- Familiarity with Inspection and Test Plans and QA and QC standards
- Experience working with RTA, DM, and DEWA authority requirements
