Job DescriptionThe Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a Research Assistant to support startup grant research in hydrogen based aircraft propulsion and integrated energy systems. The Research Assistant will support the Principal Investigator in experimental preparation, laboratory setup, component testing, data analysis, literature review, and technical reporting. The candidate should be able to contribute to research activities related to thermodynamics, propulsion, energy systems, and sustainable aviation technologies. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant academic training and research experience in mechanical, aerospace, or energy related fields.Minimum QualificationAn appropriate educational degree supplemented with documented evidence to support the following: 1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a closely related field 2. Good understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluids, energy systems, or propulsion 3. Ability to support technical and experimental research work 4. Good communication and technical writing skills 5. Flexible approach and initiative in executing the role.Preferred Qualification
