- Proactively target and grow new and existing Groups & Events accounts, seeking out new opportunities to maximise profit.
- Handle group and MICE inquiries and leads, including all communication, negotiation and contracting required.
- Attending MICE exhibitions and road shows and arrange or conduct site inspections of hotel facilities.
- Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities, analyzing competitors, and keeping up to date with industry trends.
- Manage PVD’s reactive and proactive events sales efforts.
- Monitor the effective resolution of guest issues that arise as a result of the sales process by creating mechanisms to channel issues to Director of Sales & Events.
- Execute exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by assisting the customers and monitoring their satisfaction.
- 5 years’ experience in a luxury environment in a luxury hotel.
- Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in hotel business or any other related field.
- The ideal candidate will be dynamic and a ‘hunter’ with an eye for detail and the ability to drive through solutions.
- Should have a strong commercial orientation with broad business understanding and skills, equipped with a sharp intellect to focus on key issues with an attention to details and accuracy of information.
- Flexibility to work long and irregular hours, weekends, and evenings.
- Able to negotiate, organize, delegate & work under pressure.
- Ability to create power point, Virtual training presentations.
- Knowledge of Opera, Sales, and Catering Software.
- Computer literacy to include MS Word, Excel.
