About the jobWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Technician to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a civil technician, you should have well-rounded expertise in gypsum & carpentry works, painting, and tiling who can deliver high-quality finish work across interiors for residential and commercial building projects throughout the city.Key Responsibilities:Gypsum board works: Measure, cut, fix, and finish gypsum partitions, ceilings, bulkheads and decorative elements; tape, apply joint compound, sand seams to a smooth finish; repair and maintain existing gypsum structuresPainting: Prepare surfaces, fill cracks, apply primers and final coats of enamel/emulsion paint or spray finishes; match existing finishes and complete touch-ups.Carpentry: Construct and install wooden frames, doors, skirting, and custom panels; maintain furniture/stairs and perform finishing work.Tiling & masonry: Handle ceramic tile installation, stonework, block work, floor and wall tiling, mortar application and grouting.Preventive maintenance: Carry out routine and emergency repairs to fa ades, ceilings, floors, equipment, and structural elementsProject coordination: Collaborate with supervisors, MEP teams, and contractors; read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings; adhere to safety and quality standardsTool use: Operate power tools, spray equipment, trowels, sanders, mixers, tile cutters, and jointing tools safely and effectively.Qualifications:7-10 years of experience in residential and commercial siteProficient in reading and interpreting drawings & 3D designSkilled in using various hand and power toolsExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentPhysical stamina to perform tasks that may involve lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periodsWillingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency calls when necessaryValid driver's license is is desirableStrong communication skills in English & Hindi; knowledge of Arabic is desirable.Work Environment:May work in residential & commercial projectsIndoor and outdoor tasks depending on assignmentJob Types:Full-time, Permanent
