Job Type: Full-timeKey Responsibilities
- Lead the review, negotiation, and drafting of contracts and legal agreements including consultancy appointments, frameworks, terms of service, joint venture agreements, supply chain agreements, and ancillary documents
- Identify and advise on legal and commercial risks within client tenders and project documentation
- Support insurance risk management and claims in coordination with internal teams and brokers
- Liaise with commercial teams, project teams, and senior stakeholders to manage contracts from review through signing and delivery
- Provide ongoing legal advisory support throughout the project lifecycle
- Deliver legal and contractual risk training to colleagues and project teams
- Maintain and update legal precedents, templates, and guidance materials
- Support dispute avoidance and manage disputes with external counsel and insurers when required
- Advise on regulatory compliance including conflicts of interest, anti-bribery, data protection, modern slavery, health and safety, and regulated procurement
- Legal qualification in a relevant jurisdiction in the Middle East or UK
- Experience in private practice or in-house legal teams within construction or infrastructure environments
- Strong technical legal knowledge with commercial understanding of construction agreements
- Working knowledge of FIDIC, NEC, and JCT contract forms
- Experience operating across more than one jurisdiction
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks applicable to construction and infrastructure
- Excellent negotiation and drafting skills
- Professional standard of written and spoken English with Arabic language skills considered an advantage
- Ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
