This role is responsible for leading the entire mergers and acquisitions lifecycle, from sourcing and evaluating opportunities to execution and post-merger integration, with an emphasis on enhancing Aramex's capabilities in logistics, last-mile delivery, and freight forwarding across air, land, and sea transportation channels. - Identify, evaluate, and prioritize acquisition and investment opportunities that fit the global growth strategy and product offering.
- Conduct comprehensive market mapping across priority geographies and verticals.
- Develop investment theses aligned with Aramex's s global growth strategy and long-term value creation objectives.
- Build strong relationships with advisors, industry leaders, and target companies to identify and develop actionable transactions that fit the business strategy.
- Lead and manage full M&A processes-including initial screening, commercial assessment, financial evaluation, deal structuring, and negotiation.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams globally (finance, tax, commercial, operations, HR, IT, legal, compliance) to ensure seamless transaction delivery.
- Work closely with senior leadership and business units to align transaction decisions with Aramex's global priorities.
- Drive and oversee comprehensive due diligence, ensuring high-quality analysis across operational, commercial, financial, tax, legal, and digital/technology domains.
- Synthesize key findings into clear reports and executive-ready insights, highlighting risks, synergies, and integration considerations.
- Partner with legal and external advisors to support negotiation of key deal terms and documentation.
- Build robust financial models and perform valuations using DCF, trading/transaction comps, and scenario analysis.
- Prepare high-impact materials and detailed valuation reports, translating complex financial insights into clear, actionable presentations for senior leadership and investment committees.
- Understanding of key financial and accounting adjustments including working capital, net debt, tax impacts, etc.
- Support post-merger integration, ensuring captured synergies in areas such as operational efficiency, network optimization, technology adoption, and commercial expansion.
- Collaborate with integration teams to ensure smooth onboarding of acquired entities and alignment with Aramex's operating model.
- Enhance Aramex's M&A playbooks, tools, templates to improve speed, accuracy, and to maintain a robust M&A execution model.
- Stay informed of global logistics, supply chain, and digital transformation trends to ensure Aramex maintains strong competitive positioning.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Advanced degree such as an MBA or a specialized Master's in Finance or Economics; professional certifications like CFA or FMVA are highly valued.
- Demonstrable 3 to 5 years of progressive experience managing end-to-end M&A transactions within Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Development, or Transaction Advisory roles.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for financial analysis and presentation development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional language skills such as Arabic or others are considered an asset.
- Proven track record of effectively managing comprehensive M&A processes, including due diligence, negotiation, and post-merger integration.
- Knowledge and experience within the transport and logistics sector will be regarded as a significant advantage.
- Experience dealing with cross-border transactions or emerging markets is a plus, showcasing adaptability in diverse business environments.
