Job DescriptionA Postdoctoral fellow position is available at the Khalifa Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (KCGEB), United Arab Emirates University to study the interaction of gene-specific transcription factors with mediator subunits and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) with nuclear proteins, which is one of the critical mechanisms for mediator and lncRNAs to perform multiple essential functions. The successful candidate will use a multidisciplinary approach, combining cell biology (confocal microscopy), computational biology, plant genetics (generating mutants and/or transgenic lines) and proteomics techniques (protein interaction) in exploring the role of MED subunits and lncRNAs in plant architectures and stress resilience. Furthermore, the successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the research in plant-microbe interactions using multidisciplinary techniques.Minimum QualificationPhD with two-year ExperiencePreferred Qualification
