The Inspection Engineer is responsible for ensuring the integrity and safety of field equipment through advanced inspection techniques and data-driven planning. This role contributes directly to minimizing operational risks, extending asset life, and maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop inspection plans and schedules based on historical data and risk based inspection studies
  • Coordinate with plant teams to arrange scaffolding, insulation removal, and equipment access for inspections
  • Apply non-destructive testing methods and document inspection findings with detailed reports and recommendations
  • Identify abnormalities and communicate defects with supporting drawings and inspection records
  • Raise and review maintenance work orders for corrective and preventive actions and ensure proper closure
  • Coordinate material analysis, hardness testing, coating inspection, and ferrite testing for equipment and components
  • Monitor inspections during fabrication, maintenance, overhaul, and new installations
  • Review quality control dossiers from contractors and coordinate with third-party inspection agencies
  • Prepare welding procedure specifications and welder qualification procedures and witness qualification tests
  • Support technical evaluations and prepare inspection scopes and checklists for contractor activities
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in inspection engineering within oil and gas industry
  • Strong knowledge of RBI methodologies, WPS, and WPQ standards
  • Experience in non-destructive testing techniques and asset integrity management
  • Ability to analyze inspection data and provide actionable recommendations
  • Strong coordination and communication skills across technical teams
