- Qualified Senior Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, holding an MBA, CMA, ACCA, or CPA qualification, is required.
- Expertise in IFRS, local accounting standards, financial reporting, taxation, and internal controls.
- Proficient in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and problem-solving.
- Expertise in accounting software (Pegasus/Opera 3, Tally, Oracle Fusion) and advanced Excel skills.
- Accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with regulations.
- Ability to deliver clear, concise written and verbal reports to senior management.
- Efficient handling of multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and consistently complete tasks.
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality and adherence to professional ethics.
- Skilled in resolving discrepancies and optimizing financial processes.
- Keeping up with industry trends, changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations while consistently enhancing skills.
- Independently prepare all journal entries and supporting schedules for period-end closing, posting them into accounting software for the Regional Finance Controller’s review and approval.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements across all accounting processes, and assist in implementing required changes to improve operations.
- Reconcile general ledgers, bank statements, and supporting financial documents, maintaining accuracy and integrity in all financial transactions and records.
- Prepare weekly forecasts for revenue and sales reports, and coordinate with respective sales and project management teams for management review and sales meetings.
- Oversee accounts receivable and payable processes, including invoicing, reconciliations, collections, follow-up, and ensuring the timely and accurate recording of transactions. Manage client/vendor coordination and collaborate with internal teams as necessary.
- Review and validate supplier payments to ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures.
- Coordinate with banks for financial operations, including arranging bank guarantees or other necessary documents, ensuring compliance with relevant banking regulations and requirements.
- Assist the Regional Finance Controller in preparing, finalizing, and analyzing financial statements for monthly group reporting, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making.
- Provide data and support to the Regional Finance Controller for the preparation of budgets, forecasts, cash flow and financial reports to support strategic planning and operational objectives in the region.
- Coordinate with banks, inter-companies/related parties, and other service providers for various accounting and finance operational requirements on a regular basis.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Utilize accounting software proficiently to streamline financial processes and enhance overall efficiency in reporting and analysis.
- Maintain all staff records within the Payroll System, working alongside HR/PRO during onboarding and offboarding, and assist staff with payroll-related inquiries, annual leave, loans, banking matters, and other inquiries.
- Calculate staff salaries and process payroll through banking portals and payroll software for UAE, KSA & Qatar. Coordinate with local service providers for regulatory requirements such as GOSI/GPSSA pension payments and submissions.
- Prepare and collect data for tax return submissions (VAT and Withholding Tax), while also assisting in Corporate Tax filings for UAE, KSA & Qatar.
- Provide any other ad hoc reports or assistance required by the team and the Regional Finance Controller as needed.
