Job Title: Heavy Driver (Heavy Vehicle Driver)Job SummaryA Heavy Driver is responsible for operating large vehicles such as trucks, buses, trailers, or construction vehicles to transport goods, materials, or passengers safely and efficiently. The role requires strict adherence to traffic laws, safety standards, and delivery schedules.Key Responsibilities

Operate heavy vehicles (trucks, trailers, tankers, buses, etc.) safely and responsibly
Transport goods/materials to assigned locations on time
Follow all traffic rules, road safety regulations, and company policies
Inspect vehicles before and after trips (fuel, brakes, tires, lights, etc.)
Load and unload cargo when required
Ensure proper documentation (delivery notes, logbooks, permits)
Report accidents, delays, or mechanical issues immediately
Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle
Plan routes efficiently to avoid delays

Requirements & Qualifications

Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License (HGV/HTV)
Proven experience as a heavy driver (typically 2+ years preferred)
Good knowledge of road safety regulations and routes
Ability to handle long-distance driving and flexible schedules
Basic mechanical knowledge is an advantage
Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads if needed
Good communication and time management skills
