This Civil Engineer position plays a key role in supporting on-site construction supervision for roads and utility infrastructure. The role ensures contractors meet technical specifications, project timelines, and safety standards while contributing to efficient project execution and delivery.Key Responsibilities
- Assist Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer in managing site activities and technical coordination
- Monitor daily construction operations to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and authority regulations
- Review contractor submissions including shop drawings, material approvals, and RFIs
- Provide clear site instructions and technical guidance to contractors and site teams
- Support supervision of inspection staff and ensure proper execution of site inspections
- Verify measurements of completed work and maintain accurate site records
- Monitor contractor resource allocation and site productivity
- Ensure adherence to health and safety practices across all site activities
- Report project progress, issues, and risks to senior engineering leadership
- Assist in reviewing project closeout documentation and handover requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in roads, infrastructure, and utilities projects
- Strong experience working on projects within Dubai and understanding of local regulations
- Experience in fast-track project environments is preferred
- Arabic language proficiency is required
- Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to interact with management and site teams
