Kitchen Equipment Technician

• Install, inspect, and commission kitchen equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance on appliances
• Diagnose and repair faults in electrical and mechanical systems
• Service equipment such as ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, fryers, and mixers
• Handle gas, electrical, and refrigeration systems safely
• Replace defective parts (heating elements, thermostats, motors, valves, etc.)
• Test equipment after repair to ensure proper operation
• Read technical manuals and equipment diagrams
• Maintain service records and reports
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and service calls

• Commercial ovens and ranges
• Refrigerators and freezers
• Dishwashers and glass washers
• Deep fryers and grills
• Ice machines and cold storage units
• Food preparation machines (mixers, slicers, etc.)

• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems
• Basic understanding of gas systems and safety procedures
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read manuals and wiring diagrams
• Hands-on experience with tools and testing equipment
• Attention to detail and hygiene awareness
• Good communication skills

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
• Experience in commercial kitchen equipment or HVAC systems
• Certification in refrigeration or gas handling (preferred)
• Appliance or equipment-specific training (advantage)

• Hotels, restaurants, hospitals, catering companies
• Commercial kitchens and service areas
• Indoor work with exposure to heat, moisture, and noise
• May require travel to multiple service locations
