DP World is seeking a proactive and experienced Technology Resilience and Disaster Recovery Lead to drive enterprise-level IT continuity and recovery programs across its global operations. Based in Dubai, this role is critical in ensuring that business units are prepared to manage and recover from disruptions, with robust DR strategies, backup validation, and compliance with global resilience standards. - Plan and execute database restoration and disaster recovery (DR) tests for critical and non-critical applications across global business units
- Develop and review DR strategies, backup procedures, and restoration protocols across the enterprise
- Conduct Business Impact Assessments to define and align RTO/RPO objectives with DR plans
- Ensure all new IT projects meet the required recovery levels and align with continuity benchmarks
- Periodically review backup configurations and assess infrastructure readiness
- Coordinate DR activities with BCM teams, regulatory bodies, insurers, and internal IT stakeholders
- Monitor system uptime and investigate major unplanned downtimes, providing incident reports
- Conduct DR workshops and awareness programs for technology teams and business units
- Prepare KPI-aligned reports on DR exercises and backup test results for leadership visibility
- Act as a technology resilience liaison for external stakeholders and regulatory compliance
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 8-10 years of IT governance experience, with 5+ years in disaster recovery or resilience roles
- Strong experience designing, implementing, and testing DR and continuity plans in large organizations
- Familiarity with backup systems, recovery frameworks, storage architecture, and IT security practices
- Relevant certifications preferred: CBCI, ISO 22301, CBCP, C/DRE, EDRP
- Solid understanding of ISO 22301, ISR, and COBIT 2019 standards
- Experience working with multinational environments and operational applications in supply chain/logistics
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and monitoring solutions
- Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills
- Capable of managing cross-functional projects and training programs
- Adaptability to complex environments and cultural awareness
- Proven ability to work under pressure and lead resilience initiatives
