Postdoctoral Associate Crystallography - New York University Abu Dhabi - Abu Dhabi, UAE

• Conduct crystal structure determination using electron or X-ray crystallography techniques
• Prepare samples and independently collect diffraction data
• Solve and refine small molecule crystal structures, including complex or challenging systems
• Analyze structures exhibiting twinning, disorder, or time-dependent changes
• Perform structure refinement using electron diffraction data collected via specialized instrumentation
• Contribute to interdisciplinary research projects within the Smart Materials Lab
• Support supervision and mentoring of undergraduate and PhD students
• Collaborate with faculty and research team members to advance laboratory objectives

• PhD in chemistry, physics, materials science, or related field with focus on crystallography
• Strong expertise in structure solution and refinement of small molecule crystals
• Experience with electron diffraction preferred; X-ray crystallography experience required
• Familiarity with powder diffraction, neutron diffraction, or scattering methods is advantageous
• Ability to independently manage crystallographic experiments and data analysis
