The Civil Engineer supports the Resident Engineer and site management team in supervising construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, and maintaining smooth execution of infrastructure works. This role contributes to project efficiency, quality assurance, and safe construction practices.Key Responsibilities
- Assist Resident Engineer and ARE in daily site supervision activities
- Monitor construction works to ensure compliance with contract documents and authority regulations
- Review contractor submissions including shop drawings, materials, and RFIs
- Provide on-site direction and technical support to contractors
- Support supervision of site inspection staff and coordinate site activities
- Verify measurements of completed works and maintain accurate records
- Monitor contractor resource allocation and site productivity
- Ensure adherence to health and safety practices on site
- Report progress, issues, and observations to Resident Engineer
- Assist in reviewing project close-out documentation and final deliverables
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in roads, utilities, and infrastructure projects
- Experience working on projects in Dubai is preferred
- Familiarity with fast-track construction projects is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and site supervision practices
- Proficiency in engineering software and computer applications
- Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
