The Resident Engineer Infrastructure is responsible for leading on-site supervision of utility networks and infrastructure works. This role contributes directly to project success by ensuring proper installation, quality control, safety compliance, and coordination between multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary site representative for utilities and infrastructure works
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and method statements
- Coordinate between utility disciplines and civil works to avoid conflicts
- Review and approve contractor submissions including shop drawings and technical documents
- Supervise installation of water, sewerage, drainage, electrical, telecom, and gas systems
- Verify network layouts, alignments, levels, and clearances according to standards
- Oversee testing and commissioning of utility systems and ensure proper documentation
- Implement quality control procedures and conduct site inspections
- Issue non-conformance reports and follow up on corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with authority regulations and international codes
- Promote site safety and participate in HSE audits and investigations
- Coordinate with authorities and stakeholders for approvals and inspections
- Maintain site records, prepare progress reports, and support claims evaluation
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 12 to 15 years of experience in infrastructure and utilities projects
- At least 5 years experience in a Resident Engineer or senior supervision role
- Strong knowledge of UAE authority standards and infrastructure regulations
- Experience managing multidisciplinary contractors and site teams
- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure
- Infrastructure and utilities project supervision
