This role governs enterprise-wide project portfolios, ensuring strategic alignment, financial discipline, and execution efficiency. It plays a critical role in driving transformation initiatives, enhancing delivery frameworks, and enabling leadership visibility across business and technology programs.Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks to align all projects with enterprise strategy and architecture standards
- Align initiatives to value streams and track outcomes using KPIs and OKRs across business and technology functions
- Evaluate and prioritize project proposals to ensure investment value and strategic alignment
- Lead or support high-priority strategic initiatives assigned by executive leadership
- Oversee end-to-end governance processes from project intake to closure ensuring compliance with standards
- Monitor portfolio performance through dashboards, scorecards, and reporting frameworks
- Collaborate with finance teams to manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation
- Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and constraints across multiple projects
- Engage stakeholders across business and IT to ensure alignment and transparent communication
- Prepare portfolio insights and reports for senior leadership and decision-making forums
- Drive continuous improvement in portfolio management tools, processes, and methodologies
- Support PMO governance including demand management and business case evaluation
- Contribute to innovation initiatives by assessing emerging technologies and new ideas
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Finance, or related discipline; MBA preferred
- 15+ years of experience in portfolio management, program governance, or transformation roles
- Strong experience within banking or financial services environment
- Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or PMI-PfMP are highly desirable
- Experience managing small teams and leading cross-functional initiatives
- Strong understanding of project delivery models including agile, hybrid, and waterfall
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Portfolio governance and project management
- Strategic planning and investment prioritization
- Financial modelling and budget management
- Risk and dependency management
- Data analytics and performance reporting
- Tools such as MS Project, Power BI, and PPM platforms
