Job DescriptionA Research Assistant position is available in the Department of Internal Medicine, College of Medicine & Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University with Dr Adnan Agha. The successful candidate will be engaged in a clinical research project focusing on investigating the presence and features Monogenic Diabetes. The position is for an enthusiastic young clinician/scientist with interest in clinical research who can work with patients with minimal supervision. The successful candidate should be a Clinical background with clinical experience. The candidate should have good knowledge and experience in maintaining databases and reviewing patient records and carrying out patient-facing interactions/interviews as this will be the primary responsibilities. Additional duties include liaising and coordinating with patients preparing and maintaining detailed records, logs and extracting data from electronic records and summary reports of all research findings using appropriate software, and performing other job-related duties, as required. The working hours are during the week including evening shifts.Minimum QualificationThe applicant must have a clinical degree and/or experience and must have Good clinical Practice certificate. Candidates with additional educational qualification like Masters in research will be preferred Previous experience of working in a clinical project and previous publication in a peer reviewed journal is desired.Preferred Qualification
