- Supervise, manage, and lead all MPD operations on the rig from a technical, operational, and safety perspective
- Act as the primary point of contact between the client, rig personnel, Weatherford crews, and office support teams
- Rig up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot all MPD equipment, including RCD element changes and event identification
- Ensure MPD equipment is fully functional, green tagged, and inventoried prior to mobilization and during operations
- Manage crew shifts, rotations, logistics, and daily operational activities on location
- Conduct safety meetings, enforce QHSE procedures, and report incidents in accordance with company policy
- Train, mentor, and supervise MPD crew members and junior personnel
- Coordinate with third-party service providers such as mud logging, MWD, directional, and drilling services
- Maintain daily communication with client representatives and service companies on location
- Manage inventory, logistics, and job ticket documentation, ensuring timely submission to the office
- Oversee preventive maintenance activities and ensure completion of required checklists
- Document operations, incidents, and performance data in the Weatherford Performance Tracking System
- Support shop activities as required, including equipment preparation, green tagging, and shipping coordination
- Ensure compliance with Weatherford quality policies, operating procedures, and safety standards
- Complete required competency assessments and support personnel evaluations when qualified
- Perform additional MPD-related duties as assigned by management
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on MPD operational expertise
- In-depth knowledge of MPD equipment, procedures, and well control practices
- Excellent leadership, supervisory, and mentoring capabilities
- Strong organizational, planning, and workload prioritization skills
- High attention to detail and strong safety awareness
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to operate in demanding field environments and changing conditions
- Basic understanding of electrical and hydraulic principles (preferred)
- Minimum 8+ years of Managed Pressure Drilling experience
- Minimum 2 years of oilfield supervisory experience
- Willingness to travel to remote, offshore, and international work locations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and team leadership skills
- High School Diploma, GED, or technical degree related to the oil and gas industry
