- Lead and supervise all electrical site works, including power distribution, lighting, ELV systems, and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and authority requirements.
- Review and approve electrical shop drawings, technical submittals, and method statements prior to site execution.
- Provide technical leadership on electrical system design interpretation, installation challenges, and coordination with other disciplines.
- Coordinate with design teams to resolve RFIs and ensure alignment between design intent and site implementation.
- Supervise electrical inspectors and ensure effective execution of inspections, NCRs, and QA/QC processes.
- Monitor contractor performance, progress, and quality of electrical installations, identifying risks and driving corrective actions.
- Lead testing and commissioning of electrical and ELV systems, ensuring integration with life safety and building systems.
- Ensure compliance with UAE authority requirements (DEWA, ADDC, DCD, etc.) and international standards (IEC, BS).
- Review progress reports, testing reports, and contractor payment applications related to electrical works.
- Support the Resident Engineer in project delivery, reporting, and stakeholder management.
- Mentor junior engineers and inspectors to ensure consistent technical standards and development.
- Act as the main technical focal point for electrical discipline with contractors, consultants, and authorities.
- Significant Post-Contract Supervision Consultancy and extensive Engineering experience.
- Experience and acumen in managing and working effectively across multi-disciplinary teams and multi-divisional teams.
- Experience and acumen in managing and working effectively across all support services, divisions, internal and external stakeholders not limited to clients, statutory bodies, sub-consultants, contractors etc.
- Significant knowledge and appreciation of industry best practices, SSH’s Policies, Procedures, Manuals, Guidelines, Systems and Applications with the ability to fully implement and comply not limited to QHSE, Contracts, Stakeholder, Risk and Change Management.
- Significant knowledge and appreciation of International and Statutory Authority requirements, codes and procedures with the ability to drive full implementation and compliance across the project.
- Motivated and enthusiastic towards continuous self improvement, and towards line reports to achieve improvement.
- Good people skills, team management acumen and stakeholder management ability.
- Significant command of the English language (written and spoken). Knowledge and command of Arabic and/or other languages is mandatory in RTE’s where required.
