This role is responsible for leading a team of engineers to design and deliver complex backend systems that power high-volume digital operations. The Engineering Manager ensures alignment between product goals and technical execution, while building a strong engineering culture focused on quality, speed, and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, enabling them to design, build, and own scalable systems
- Drive technical strategy and ensure delivery of reliable and high-performance backend services
- Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to define and execute roadmap priorities
- Mentor and develop engineering talent through coaching, feedback, and career growth planning
- Guide teams in building solutions that meet scalability, availability, and performance standards
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle including planning, development, and deployment
- Promote engineering best practices including continuous delivery, testing, and refactoring
- Ensure alignment across teams and manage dependencies through proactive communication
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering with strong backend development expertise
- Minimum 2 years of experience in technical leadership or people management
- Strong understanding of distributed systems including microservices and event-driven architecture
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional and self-organized engineering teams
- Strong communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders
